Along ocean front with tranquil beaches, calm stretches of emerald backwaters, lush hill stations, and exotic wildlife, are just a few of the wonders that await you once you cross over to the other side. What’s more, each of these charming beauties is only a short drive from each other - a unique advantage no other place on the planet can offer.
Kerala prides itself on being the pride owner for not just how a culture can respect its past but also march forward with growth & progress as well. Hundred per cent literacy, world-class healthcare systems, India's lowest infant mortality and highest life expectancy rates are among a few of the milestones that the people of the state are extremely proud of.
There are various theories regarding the origin of its name. One of the ideas is that it is derived from the word ‘Kera’ which means coconut tree in Malayalam, signifying it to be the land of coconuts, as it indeed it. Another idea states that it is attributed to the Cheras, the oldest dynasty that ruled the region. A long shoreline with serene beaches. Placid features of emerald backwaters, lush hill stations, and exotic wildlife, waterfalls, sprawling plantations and paddy fields, Ayurveda health holidays, enchanting art forms, magical festivals, historic and cultural monuments, an exotic cuisine...all of which offer you a unique experience.
With all these Kerala become a precious gem in the necklace of Indian culture. Indian poets of eminence have showered their praises for the abundance of its peppers, the fragrance of its sandal and the wealth of its coconuts.
